GOLDEN MX3
The Mazda MX3 is a rare item these days, especially boasting exceptional levels of both Show and Go. In the early days of the car it was nicknamed Goldmember and when it came time for paint Andy decided to "go
for gold" and pay respect to the nickname that's stuck with it over the years. In preparation for paint the car was stripped bare and came back with a large selection of new parts including the Mazdaspeed front bumper, impossible to obtain OEM side skirts and the Canadian market spoiler. In addition to the body parts many things were shaved in pursuit of a very clean factory look on this highly modified vehicle.
The interior is no slouch either with the very rare Special Edition leather seats and a seamless integration of performance electronics installed to appear as if Mazda put them there.
Although the car has a lot of detail in the looks department its primary goal has always been performance and making the finals in the recent NSCRA finale cemented its status as one of the fastest MX3s in the country. Andy has produced exceptional results out of this car running a best pass of 11.9 @ 124mph and has not even begun to build the motor.
This MX3 has been a pioneer in the Mazda community helping to develop many new parts as well as doing some previously unheard of modifications and paving the way for other MX3s to go fast in the future.
Andy built this car bolt by bolt with every aspect attended to and the finished product shows what can really be done with an MX3 in the righthands. Whether it be the engine bay powdercoated to match the color scheme or the flawless swap to black leather interior this is a car that turns heads on the street, at the track, and at shows. We look forward to seeing more from this MX3 in the future as no matter what Andy does,
